High F2 MUF today

According to the Propquest Graph of 3000 km F2 MUF from Chilton, the MUF rose to between 24 and 28 MHz today.

Reception at G0LUJ:

Bi-directional WSPR between UK and the Canary Islands on 10m:

No signals other than WSPR made 10m, but some FT8 was decoded on 12m:

In conclusion, it is still worthwhile to continue monitoring (and make some calls if possible) the higher bands even at this point in the cycle as brief openings do occur. The 12m band was open  for just over one hour, the 10m for just less. The receive antenna is optimised for LF/MF reception Рstations with more appropriate antennas could have had much more success.
